April Fool’s Day isn’t exactly a holiday but it is a tradition. Before the Internet the pranks were typically office and school pranks. Sometimes radio and television stations would run “fake” humorous news stories but the Onion does that all the time now so it has become less common for mainstream outlets, at least in my area.
I read a lot of “gotcha” blog and forum posts yesterday but my pick for the best April Fool’s post of 2009 was posted by ZooBorns. I think it wins because even though people know it is fake they cannot stop looking adoringly at that photo. It is masterfully photoshopped. Looks like something to put in an Easter basket!
